About Us

IAAB is excited to be an affiliate partner for Tirgan 2015. This year, Tirgan will be held at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Canada, from August 20-23. The festival program entails performances and presentations in music, dance, history, literature, theater, cinema, visual arts and special programs for children and youth, including: 


  • Opening Ceremony by Hamed Nikpay and Ensemble Featuring Karine Gonzalez
  • Persian and Turkish Improvisations by Kayhan Kalhor and Erdal Erzincan
  • Scarlet Stone “Mohreye Sorkh” performance, based on a poem by Siavash Kasrai and Shahnameh
  • Theatre performance, 1001st Night (a play reading), written by Bahram Beyzaie, With Mojdeh Shamsaie
  • Dance performance by Iranian Ballet “Les Ballets Persians," in collaboration with National Ballet of Kyrgyzstan
  • Music by Darya Dadvar and Ensemble


IAAB will be hosting a panel presentation and workshops on Iranian-American identity and leadership development for youth and young professionals.
