Iranians lack access to social services in communities across the country. While the specific needs of each local community will vary, IAAB will connect its grassroots network of students families, and committed leaders in order to organize community-specific direct service initiatives.

Through IAAB’s Mobilize and Organize campaign, local members will offer community support on an emotional and professional level in a variety of ways including:

  • Organizing Persian Language Book Drives for elderly Iranians, Iranian asylees and immigrants in detention centers

  • Providing Tutoring and Refugee Support

  • Creating Iranian International Student Support Groups to offer both emotional and professional support as advocates

  • Developing Community Job Boards and Job Placement Assistance

  • Launching Parenting Support Groups for parents raising their children in bicultural and bilingual homes

  • Creating spaces for elderly Iranians living in isolation that provide emotional and social support
